Congratulations on your purchase of Konyks equipment.
So you will start using the Konyks software (iOS or Android app). Any information you share with us (for example for creating a Konyks account) will help us provide you with services related to the Konyks device and improve them to make them even more effective.
Here we detail our methods of collecting and using information, and how we protect your privacy. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, “personal data” means information that can be used to identify an individual, either from that information alone or from that information and other information to which we have access to. about this person. We collect personal and non-personal data to enable and facilitate the best possible user experience.
What information is collected and how do we use it?
In order to provide you with our services, we will ask you to provide the personal data necessary to operate these services. If you do not provide your personal data, we may not be able to provide the services that accompany our products, including remote control of devices.
Konyks Account Information
Personal data collected when creating a Konyks account may include personal information such as your email address or mobile phone number. This information helps activate, manage and obtain the Konyks service. Your username, profile picture, country and time zone will be connected to your account so you can easily view our product and service.
Mobile phone information
Your device model, operating system, unique device ID, IP address, Konyks software version number, access type and model etc. will be collected so that you can receive notifications. This is essential basic information that we need to collect from you.
Information about the connected device
All information about connected devices will be collected so that you can control them remotely via mobile APPs.
Image/video
The image or video acquired by your camera will be collected and used to provide you with mobile monitoring and alarm service.
Feedback
We are always here to receive your comments or suggestions so that your problems or device breakdown are solved at the first time.
User scenarios
While you use features such as scenario, automation, etc., we collect your setting information which allows us to offer you an intelligent scenario service.
Data collected when placing an online order
When you place an order online we collect data necessary for the delivery of your order (surname, first name, address, telephone number, email address)
How is personal data used?
Who do we share your information with?
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, we will keep all your personal information confidential. Disclosure to third parties may include the scenarios listed in this section below. You should be aware that when Konyks shares your personal data with a third party in any circumstances described in this section, Konyks will ensure that these third parties are subject to practices and obligations to comply with the data protection and privacy laws of your country. Konyks will contractually ensure that foreign third party service providers comply with the privacy standards applicable in your home jurisdiction.
Disclosure to Tuya Group Companies and Third Party Service Providers
Konyks Cloud services are operated by the Tuya Smart company of the Tuya group. In order to facilitate business operations, the Tuya entity that collects your personal data may, from time to time, disclose your personal data to other Tuya group companies (in communications, social media, technology or the cloud) or to our third party providers such as carriers, delivery service providers, telecommunications companies, data centers, data storage facilities and customer service providers, agents, related companies and/or other third parties (together “ third-party service providers"). These third party service providers will process your personal data on behalf of Konyks or Tuya for one or more of the purposes listed above. Personal data will only be shared by Konyks to provide or improve our products or services and will not be shared for marketing purposes.

Konyks may disclose your personal data without further consent if required or permitted by law in the following cases:
Location information:
When you enable location-based features through the permission settings on your mobile device, we will collect and process your location information to enable certain features, such as pairing with your smart devices. Additionally, we may collect information about your precise or non-precise geolocation in real time when you use certain devices or services, such as robot cleaners and the weather service.
Based on your consent, when you enable the geo-fencing feature on your devices, your location information will be generated and shared with Google Map services. Please note that Google has corresponding data protection measures, which you can consult Google's data protection conditions for further details: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/gdprservices/
The “Scenario / when the location changes” function allows you to automatically turn your KONYKS equipment on or off when you arrive or leave your home. This function requires access to the location even when the app. is closed or not in use, it continues to use location in the background in order to be able to trigger these automations
This feature does not upload any data to the cloud and is not used for advertising or other purposes
You can opt out of the use of your location information by managing permission settings, after which we will stop collecting and using your location information.
Other information
We use statistical data that does not specifically identify you (non-personal data) to assist in our operations and improve our products and services and provide you with a better user experience. Here is some of the non-personal information we may collect and how we use it:
Delete information
If you wish, you can delete all information from the Konyks application via “Profile – Settings – Account – Account Security – Close account”.
